- Shape: Rectangular lawns are quicker and cheaper to mow than irregular lawns with obstacles.
- Access: Limited access (small gates, long driveways, restricted parking) increases mowing time and cost.
- Clippings Disposal: Hauling clippings to the dump adds cost. Leaving clippings on large properties lowers the price.
